Support Persons: Patients are welcome to bring a support person to their appointments. Support persons may accompany patients into treatment areas when appropriate. Please let us know in advance if a support person will be attending so we can make necessary arrangements.

Service Animals

We welcome service animals that accompany people with disabilities. Service animals are permitted in all areas of our clinic that are open to patients. If you will be bringing a service animal to your appointment, please let us know in advance so we can ensure appropriate accommodations.

Sedation Services for Patients with Special Needs

Our sedation dentistry services are particularly beneficial for patients with:

  • Autism spectrum disorders: Sedation can help patients who experience sensory sensitivities or difficulty with traditional dental settings
  • Developmental disabilities: Our team is experienced in providing compassionate care for patients with various developmental needs

Staff Training

All staff members at Dental Sedation Ottawa receive training on accessible customer service, including how to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities, how to use assistive devices, and what to do if a person with a disability is having difficulty accessing our services.
